Dear Reader,

I do have experience in a great variety of roles within a broad spectrum of industries and I would like to highlight the specific facets of my experience that may be pertinent.

Soon after graduating as a Chemical Engineer I was appointed as a plant superintendent at a fertilizer plant in Sasolburg, South Africa, home of the pioneering gasoline from coal plant. This exposure first led me to understand the complexity of the world liquid fuel equation. Later, in the role of Development Manager of Sable Chemical Industries, I extended this involvement by studying the manufacture of ammonia and methanol from coal in reports presented to the government of Rhodesia, and later Zimbabwe.

The fabric of the energy equation was further fleshed out for me by my involvement in the construction and operation of the largest pressure electrolysis hydrogen generation plant. This gave me exposure to large scale electrical distribution and an in depth understanding of the economic factors involved in generation of electricity from hydro stations and hydrocarbon fuels. (Just as an aside, during this period I was appointed to the board of the National Trust of Rhodesia, and was instrumental in the acquisition of a unique geological and habitat area for preservation by the Trust.)

My later career took me into senior corporate management at Chief Executive level, and, after immigrating to Canada, into consulting mainly to small entrepreneurial companies. This required me to hone my skills of report writing, presentation and liaison with government and other external institutions. This period also demonstrated my ability to listen to clients and absorb the facts, make informed judgments based upon these facts, and deliver clear and concise conclusions.

All this experience has moulded me into a multifaceted generalist of considerable talents. Perhaps these talents could be of use even to a single minded oilman!

In any event, should you be able and willing to pass my resume around, I would be most appreciative, and I look forward to discussing my qualifications with you in person.

Yours truly,

MICHAEL ANDERSON
