EMPLOYMENT

Current Senior Business Analyst, IPA Chicago IL

Studying the shortcomings of small businesses and advising on solutions.

2003--2005 General Manager, Atlantic Controls, Inc. St Augustine FL

Succeeded in avoiding bankruptcy of this severely troubled company, and organized new financing.

1983-2003 Owner, Michael Anderson Consulting Inc.

Over a period of 15 years I operated as a consultant and/or contract manager for several clients in Canada and the US. I specialized in strategic management planning, and crisis management including venture capital disbursement, corporate funding, corporate sale, growth management and mergers. Typical assignments were:

General Manager, Sirtech Software, Ogdensburg NY (two separate two year stints)

Operations Manager, Artistic Impressions Chicago

President, Frantec Software Distributors, Ottawa Canada

1977-1982 President and CEO, Blue Ribbon Industries Ltd

Appointed initially as a Technical Director, I stewarded this mini conglomerate food company through a major acquisition to quadruple its sales and establish it as a stable force in its sector. Corporate sales when I left were $80 million in grains, oils, soaps, cosmetics, packaging, and stockfeeds.

1970-1977 Development Manager, Sable Chemical Industries Ltd.

Appointed as a project engineer, then project manager I controlled the acquisition and construction of the first, and still the only anhydrous ammonia plant in Rhodesia (which became Zimbabwe). Built during sanctions, this project was as much a commercial triumph as it was a technical wonder. I also built and managed the operating team through the commissioning and initial operating years.
